“Why try to be someone else, when it’s hard enough being me?” –Kita-Simone
As a kid, I wasn’t the most popular kid. Actually, I got picked on a lot but the same kids who picked on me were the same one who wanted to be my friend in the end. Ironic, huh. Don’t get me wrong, I had friends and I was a bit of a bully myself.
I always wondered why me? I realized cause through all the taunts and jokes, I am still me. The jokester, loyal friend, voice of reason (at times) that wasn’t scared to let a person know the truth.
I also realized they were haters. They saw the potential, I didn’t see and wanted to destroy it before I had a chance to see it. They knew I could do big things.
Well, the jokes on them… I’m still standing. I can say… I’m grateful to everyone of them. They made me stronger. They also made me see the me that was hidden.
Bullies are bullies for a couple of reasons…
1) They don’t like themselves and picking on someone else makes them feel better.
2) They’re jealous of something you have, can do, or already do.
3) They really don’t like you.
4) A combination of these things or some other things I can’t think of right now (sorry).
So when you have haters, bullies, or whatever you want to call them. Feel blessed and good, it means you’re either doing something right, on the right path, or have potential to do something big. I know it may be hard but just remember…
Good things in life, don’t always come easy. Sometimes they take a lot of work and faith. If you can hold on and know if no one else believes in you, God is with you and you can believe in yourself… Anything is possible. All those dreams are attainable.
So don’t compromise who you are or what you want, just to fit in to someone else’s mold. Be yourself, make your own decisions. Yes, sometimes you have to compromise but you don’t have to compromise everything. No one will love you like you love yourself.

Best of wishes to you… Blessings and Joy also.
